STEVE KERNS
Founder/CEO

STEVE KERNS was raised in Omaha, Nebraska and received his degree, after majoring in Pre-Law, from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1976. He served in the Marine Corps Reserve and attended their Officer's Candidate School while in college. He began his financial services career with the Great Southern Life Insurance Company, where he earned their Rookie of the Year honors in 1978. For the next six years he built a successful retail insurance practice, receiving numerous company awards as well as qualifying for the Million Dollar Roundtable all six of those years.

In 1983, he and his wife Becky founded InsurMark, a company that has become known in the insurance industry for it's Integrity, Innovation, Leadership and Service. Although it began as a small dream nearly twenty five years ago, InsurMark has grown into a well established and well respected national insurance marketing organization with over 8,000 agent partners in all fifty states. Steve has led producers to place more than $4 billion in fixed and equity indexed annuity premium in the past 10 years.

As a visionary and coach, Steve has the ability to spot industry and demographic trends to help InsurMark maximize their opportunities and by proactively encouraging those around him to reach their goals and beyond. Today, Steve carries not only the role of Founder and CEO but of Chief Strategic Officer. He is known nationwide as a leader in the industry, as InsurMark was one of the founding marketing organizations in 1987 of LifeUSA, known today as Allianz, the top fixed annuity company in the industry.

In his career, Steve has served on numerous insurance company advisory boards and is a proud member of the National Association of Fixed Annuities (NAFA), the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), and the National Ethics Bureau.

Steve's passion in life is serving others and assisting them in realizing their dreams. He believes we serve a Sovereign God who honors honesty, humility and integrity and that faith in Him and the daily application of His values gives us meaning and purpose in life -both personally and professionally. Based on his code of strong beliefs and ethical standards, Steve strives to live his life as an example to all that come in contact with him.

CAROLYN M. ZAJAC-LUBY
President

CAROLYN M. ZAJAC-LUBY has recruited and trained financial advisors for nearly 20 years, in both product and marketing, helping them grow their businesses and achieve their professional goals.

Prior to joining InsurMark in 1997, Carolyn began her career in the insurance industry as a wholesaler for a prominent disability income carrier. Working one on one with agents, she has received numerous company sales and service awards. While advancing through the ranks to eventually become President at InsurMark, Carolyn has assisted Founder Steve Kerns in building their organization into one of the fastest growing financial service companies in the country.

Along with her sincere and genuine interest in people, Carolyn has a strong intuitive understanding of how to help them grow and achieve their goals in life. She directs the InsurMark marketing, sales and administrative staff to make an impact in both service and leadership through integrity. She enjoys a great deal of satisfaction in watching those achieve their professional goals.

While serving on the advisory board of several insurance companies, Carolyn has been involved in the development of a number of innovative new products. She has been featured as a guest columnist in several industry periodicals and websites including Senior Market Advisor, Producer's Web, National Underwriter, Up Close, Insurance Marketing Magazine and the Agent's Sales Journal. She is a proud member of the National Association of Fixed Annuities (NAFA), the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and the National Ethics Bureau (NEB).

Carolyn's greatest passion is to lead a Christ-centered life that sets an example for others to follow while serving others in need. She is extremely motivated to build strong and lasting relationships with her agent partners and her fellow associates at InsurMark.

Carolyn feels the greatest lesson she learned from her late mother was in order to achieve and maintain success in life you must always remember where you came from and to whom you belong.
